  3. Expanding the RECEIVE and TRANSMIT frequency range of the 
  4. ADI AT-201 (for export only)    130-163.995 mHz    18 Jul 96
  5.  
  6. NOTE!  The first step is the microprocessor master reset and 
  7. will erase ALL memories.
  8.  
  9. 1)  Press F and CALL while turning radio on.  Display will 
  10. show all digits.  Release F and CALL.  Display reads 145.00.  
  11. Turn radio off.
  12.  
  13. 2)  While pressing the(3)and the(CALL) button, turn the 
  14. radio on.  Display will show a (3).
  15.  
  16. 3)  Turn radio off and then on again.  Radio will now 
  17. display between 100.000 and 179.995 mHz.  PLL will lock and 
  18. receive between about 130-170 mHz.  It transmit between 144-
  19. 147.995 mHz only. Flashing display indicates unlock.

  21. To transmit from 130-163.996 mHz, continue:
  22.  
  23. 4)  Change step size to 5 kHz by pressing F and 3 and 
  24. rotating dial knob one click to the left.  Display reads 05.
  25.  
  26. 5)  Press F and 9.  Display reads 00.60.  Change it to read 
  27. 30.6350.  The last two digits look like a tiny [50].  It 
  28. takes many turns of the dial knob to do this step.  Pressing 
  29. the function button while turning the knob will speed up the 
  30. process by incrementing in 100 kHz steps. 
  31.  
  32. 6)  Change step size back to 10 by pressing F and 3 and 
  33. rotating the dial knob one step to the right.  
  34. Display reads 10.
  35.  
  36. 7)  Press F and 0.
  37.  
  38. 8)  Press 7.  Display reads   .   (period)
  39.  
  40. 9)  Press the numbers 3 0 6 3
  41.  
  42. 10) Press *.  Display reads 130.00
  43.  
  44. After modifying the radio, you may change the band limits.
  45. Example: Set limits to 148-169.995 mHz
  46.  
  47. 11) Press F and 0.  Press 7.
  48.  
  49. 12) Press the numbers 4 8 6 9
  50.  
  51. 13) Press *.  Tx/Rx range is now 148-169.995
